Get the Critter
I've been MIA from this platform, and well, from life in general. Shortly after my last post, we were presented with quite the surprise.
Yep, the CDS sent one of their finest to track us down.
We have an abundance of wildlife in our backyard, and usually on our deck. One day I jokingly made a rule that if any one of these outside critters both self elected to enter our home AND allow us to give them a bath, they can stay.
The little critter (in the image above) eventually cowered in the corner of the front porch and began to cry. Muffin could hear it from inside and elected to investigate. It wanted held, by both of us, so we obliged. We asked if it wanted to come inside, seeing as it was quite scared, and it obliged. After some wtf do we do now time, we decided to give it a bath. More obliging, and cooperative?! Yeah, totally allowed us to give it a bath with little resistance.
It's a stray kitten. If I'm not already covered with fleas, ticks, and scabies, I'll at least still sure as shit die from rabies. Dried the little guy off, wrapped him up in a towel, and sat in the sun with him on Muffin's lap. Magical.
We decided on a two week trial. By day 2, he was family. This is my first pet ever.
